House XI
The Eleventh House of the natal chart governs friendship, groups, alliances, and collective causes. It is also the house of hopes and long-term projects: the future imagined and worked toward. Planets here describe how one behaves among equals joined by a shared purpose — leader, catalyst, or quiet backbone.

Overview
What you hope for.
Friends, groups, networks, collective projects, and the desired future. The Eleventh House is where the 'I' becomes part of a 'We'.
Mythology
Medieval astrologers called it Benefacta, 'good deeds', the house of friends and benefactors. The Hellenistic name was Agathos Daimon, the 'Good Spirit', place of joy of Jupiter: the protective genius of the community, honoured at banquets with the first cup of unmixed wine. Allies, patrons and shared hopes belonged here — the recognition that no fortune is entirely personal, and that the future is built in company.
Interpretation
The Eleventh House governs friendship, alliances, groups and collective causes: the communities chosen rather than inherited, and the ideals that bind them. It is also the house of hopes and long-term projects — the future imagined and worked toward. Planets here describe how one behaves among equals with a shared purpose: leader, catalyst, dissenter or quiet backbone. Coming after the Tenth's personal summit, the Eleventh asks what achievement is for — and answers by turning success into contribution.
